72-Hour Kit — 4 Person
$299.95
Radio, water filtration, first aid and lighting for a family of four, for three days. No knives, no food.
What’s in it
- 1× Ready Signal emergency radio — AM, FM and the 7 NOAA weather channels, hand crank and solar.
- 2× Emergency water filter — Two filters for four people, plus the bottles below.
- 4× 1 L filtered water bottle — One per person, foldable, so water can be carried and not just drunk on the spot.
- 1× Travel first aid bag — The household kit.
- 1× 188-piece first aid kit — A second, smaller kit to keep in the car.
- 1× Rechargeable camping lantern — Waterproof area light for the main room.
- 4× Micro LED keychain flashlight — One each, including the children.
Why it’s built this way
Every list starts with a flashlight. Almost none of them start with a radio, and the radio is the one that changes what you do next. A light shows you the room; a broadcast tells you whether to stay in it, how long it will last and whether the roads are open.
So the radio is the centre of this kit, and everything else is built around the three things that actually run out in seventy-two hours: drinkable water, light, and the ability to treat a wound.
What this kit does not include
- No food. We don’t sell food and we are not going to pretend a survival kit with no calories in it is complete. Buy three days of shelf-stable food you will actually eat, from a grocery store, and keep it with this.
- No knives or tools. Deliberately. This kit is meant to be safe to hand to anyone in the house, including a teenager, and to keep in a car.
- No prescription medication. The first aid kit handles cuts, burns and blisters. It cannot handle the medication someone in your house takes every day — that part is on you, and it is the single most common gap we see.
Honest limits
- The water filter removes bacteria and protozoa. It does not remove viruses, chemicals or salt.
- The radio’s 1000 mAh battery will not fully charge a phone. It will get you a call, a few messages and a shared location.
- Nothing in this kit is waterproof unless its own description says so.
Price
Bought separately these items come to $333.30. As a kit they are $299.95. That is the whole discount — there is no crossed-out fake price on this page and there never will be.
